Now that is sad. Dr Nice no more.

Beautiful day albeit frost on windscreen. Tried to pass off yet another bag of apples from our orchard onto school bus driver but he politely declined. “Thanks but..got apple pulp oozing out of our ears…” At work asked after a colleague. Really nice guy aged early 50s who I knew had not been well. Hadn’t heard update in a while and another Doctor who is NOT nice had appeared in the office that morning   Just checking in not back at work thankfully,.  So about Dr Nice? No word of him

“He …well  er ..well he died”

I gulped with shock.  Almost literally reeled.

“Sorry….the cancer came back in March,  H didn’t tell anyone,   He tried to keep it normal for his son doing GCSE’s but died soon after.”

I was appalled.
